HAPPY NEW YEAR
This is how Mercedes & I started the year with a good 4 or 5 hr climb to nevado de toluca which had its first snow of the season last night… what a way to start a new year!
May this 2012 bring joy and health to all of you!

December, 2011
December has brought to me the biggest reflection of all, in a year in which I have accomplished so much in so little time, a year that has left a big mark in every single aspect of my life… I’m running up for my 4th year sober next February in addition to a renewed faith and spiritual life, a 360º degree turn in my lifestyle in which I know exercise almost in a daily basis from running 5k daily or doing 2 hours of yoga…
A new summit planned for my bday on Jan 26 of a 5,230 m (17,160 ft) mountain.
Some problems are still there… like not having a good camera and stuff I used to constantly complain about but still I’m looking forward to 2012 with the energy on top, always searching for some new goals, some new little summits on my everyday life.
I couldn’t be more grateful to those around me this last year… Mercedes, my dad Chuy, Fernando, Joaquin, Jokin, Pepe, Carlos, Juan Carlos, Jeronimo, Mabel, Pau, Paula, Cristina, Fernanda ,Pablo ,all of you guys that were at any point of this year involved in anything with me, in a photograph, a memory.. anything thank you for all that you give to me day by day… Thanks to everyone that hired me this year and trusted in my work, Vetusta Morla, Zoe, La gusana Ciega, the whole crew behind the snickers urbania fest, all the bands that supported my pictures, all the models I shot, all the people involved with my work THANKS… I wouldn’t be anyone without you by my side
I’ll see all of you in 2012!

October-November, 2011
October was pretty much dead… didn’t do anything at all November on the other hand was amazing… I was on tour with Spanish band Vetusta Morla and Mexico’s top band Zoe for a couple of weeks, this included festivals a heavy traveling schedule and the regular roadie-team-photographer-crew member life… which is hard and where you are a big part of everything going on backstage for you guys to enjoy a show…
I visited Puebla, Queretaro, Guadalajara, Valle De bravo and enjoyed every minute of hard work i think I still have over 50 GB worth of video footage of tour to edit.
I felt inspired and renewed on my photography after this month, I took a 360ª loop in renovating myself creatively and psychologically to bring more powerful images every time I clicked the shutter.
August, 2011
In what we could called a very troubled relationship not because of us but because of the external circumstances Mercedes & I had our 3rd anniversary… so pretty much this month was such a relief to know that we had each other…
A big plus during this summer season was that we also discovered that you could buy dragon fruit in Mexico.
June-July, 2011
June was by far the month that changed my life… I had the opportunity to go on a little mountain expedition with my friend Joaquin, which is an avid amateur mountaineer and quite and example of a healthy lifestyle; we went on and climbed the Nevado de Toluca a 4,680 m (15,354 ft) volcano…
I had quite a harsh time reaching the summit, which made me realize I needed to change some habits in my life, the whole feeling of reaching the summit and that feeling involving everything in tha moment got me hooked into trainning for other summit goals to come for the upcoming 2012… many of these photographs I made during my first ascent are now such valuable memories of one of the most important turning points of my life.
May, 2011
May was such a hard month I had tons of work, photoshoots over here and there, little crappy social jobs that I’ve always disliked but help pay the bills and tons of fun shoots…
Most of this year I was having trouble accpeting my style and my work… sometimes I loved it , sometimes I just hated it…
March-April, 2011
Strange months, March had a lot of work with bands and shooting concerts again I appointed some shoots and all was going great and well even though I fell that thing about coming home from being on the other side of the world… like u don’t wanna go back to reality but you kinda have to.
Master Miao Tsan, the buddhist monk I lived with in 08’ in Texas, came to visit mexico and most of the month was being with him traveling and into dharma talks around the city.
It was a like a reboot from my spiritual life… part of the reboot that started back in Wat Maha Tat in Thailand.
It was peaceful, quiet & a powerful introspection.
February, 2011
bang!
From one day to another I get the notice I’m taking a plane in less than 4 days to The Phillipines to help a sailor that had an accident, I’m flying the hard way mxcity-frankfurt-bangkok-manila… and returining the same day to bangkok after a 2 day travesy through airports around the globe… The next thing I woke up to is Thailand , the land of the free…
January 2011
January was quite a simple month, It didn’t had any highlights at all… I wasn’t even aware of the amazing year that was coming in the following months.
It was the beginning of one of the most memorable years of my life.
I started the year at Acapulco, above a picture of a pier near where I stayed during that trip and below its a picture of the first sunrise of the year a windy breezy morning…
hey my pics look nice on Google + go add me in one of your circles and lets share
